Selda Celik

Selda Celik She graduated from the nursing school in 1995, and completed her master degree in medical nursing in 2002. She gained her Ph.D in the nursing graduate program in 2010. She worked diabetes specialist nurse at the diabetes outpatient clinic of Istanbul University Medical Faculty Hospital between 1996 and 2016. She research studies are focused on diabetes education, self-management, diabetic foot and diabetes camps for children, she participated in the FEND (Foundation of European Nurses in Diabetes) ENDCUP (European Nurses Diabetes Collaborative University Programme) between 1999 and 2000. She also attended a 3-day practical diabetology course at the Steno Diabetes Center in Denmark in 1998. She is a member of Turkish Diabetes Foundation and an executive committee member of the Diabetes Nursing Association in Turkey, she was an executive committee member of Foundation of European Nurses in Diabetes -FEND between 2007 and 2012. She is working at the University of Health Sciences Turkey, Hamidiye Faculty of Nursing, İstanbul, Turkey.
