Sedat Yurdakal

Sedat Yurdakal (1977) received his high degree in Chemistry, in 2000, at Anadolu University, Turkey. He performed his Ph.D. degree thesis work at Palermo University, Italy, and Anadolu University from 2003 to 2010. He works as Full Professor at Dokuz Eylül University and has published several papers in prestigious journals, a European patent, books and book chapters on many different areas of heterogeneous photocatalysis, such as selective photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic oxidations, remediation of harmful compounds, thin films, photocatalytic reactor applications, photoadsorption determination and preparation of new materials containing TiO2. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of ACS Sustainable Chemical Engineering (ACS, Q1, I.F: 8.4), Associate Editor of the Journal of Photocatalysis, and Academic Editor of the Journal of Chemistry (Hindawi, Q3, I.F: 3). He has also been co-Editor of special issues of Catalysis Today. Citations ca. 3200 and h index 29 (Scopus, July 2023).
