Magmatic processes made Earth into what we live on today, and they continue to shape the planet and influence its climate. Our research group is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, a true hotspot for the study of Deep and Early Earth Processes. Analytically well-equipped and surrounded by world class "textbook" geology, we focus on geochemical and petrological research dealing with processes that happened on the Early Earth or at particularly great depths (mantle rather than crust).
