Sebastian Aagaard Andersen

Mechanical Engineer and Phd Student of Additive Manufacturing. Sebastian has 6 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing and is employed in the Additive Manufacturing group up at the Technical University of Denmark, and in his role ha PI in deploying open research infrastructure in LPBF been spearheading the development of an open powder-bed metal research infrastructure. Focusing on system integration, automation, sensor systems, machine kinematics, and machine construction. The open research serves to unshackle the research within laser powder bed fusion, providing the researcher with control of the entire process. From job planner, through the electronics enabling the laser, the beam path trajectory, and the construction of the physical experimental setup in a modular manner to the development of custom IOT sensor modules, allowing research to be carried out without being restrained by proprietary machine tools.
