Bio
Scott C. Hagen is currently a Professor with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, USA with a joint appointment in the Center for Computation and Technology. He along with his students and colleagues work with stakeholders to conduct transdisciplinary research that increases our understanding of the integrated built and natural system. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles. His research interests include massively parallel, high-performance computational modeling of past, present, and future tide and storm surge flows, and shift in the paradigm for assessment of climate change impacts at the coastal land-margin.
Prof. Hagen holds the Laborde Endowed Chair and serves as the Director of the LSU Center for Coastal Resiliency. He is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and member of the College of Engineering Distinguished Engineering Alumni Academy, University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, USA.
