Sara Crespo Yanguas

Sara Crespo Yanguas is at her last year of PhD at the Department of Toxicology, Dermato-Cosmetology and Pharmacognosy (FAFY), Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In addition, a collaboration with the University of Sao Paulo during her PhD has allowed her to learn and establish different in vivo models for liver fibrosis. Sara investigates the role of cellular communication mechanisms mediated by connexins and pannexins during liver fibrosis. For this purpose, in vitro and in vivo liver fibrotic models were developed by Sara.
