Rende Sante Francesco

Sante Francesco Rende received his BSc degrees from the Natural Sciences, Calabria University, and BSc degrees from the Marine Environmental Sciences at the University of Tuscia, and his Ph.D. degree in Plant Biology from Calabria University, Italy. He is currently a researcher in Marine Sciences and Underwater Robotics and AI at the Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA), IT. His research interests include seagrass ecology and biology, marine GIS, marine remote sensing application, seagrass mapping, underwater photogrammetry, underwater robotics, Aerial photograph UAV application, structure from Motion (SfM), seagrass pattern detection, pattern recognition, image classification, object-based image analysis (OBIA), artificial intelligence, computer vision.
