Sameer Parpia

Dr. Sameer Parpia is a Biostatistician and Associate Professor in the Departments of Oncology, and Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (formerly Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics) at McMaster University. Research interests are in clinical trials. He has extensive experience the design, conduct, monitoring, statistical analysis and reporting of clinical trials. His other research activities include work on diagnostic studies, pilot and feasibility studies, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and clinical decision and prediction rules. He has collaborated and consulted on numerous projects in a variety of clinical areas, such as cancer, venous thromboembolism, surgery, critical care and emergency medicine. He teaches and supervises graduate level students on clinical trial methodology and methods for diagnostic and prognostic research.
