Salvatore Martini

• Dr. Salvatore Martini was born on 12/07/1976 in Castellammare di Stabia (NA). • He obtained the Scientific High School Diploma on 1994 at the "Don C. La Mura" high school in Angri (SA). • He obtained the Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Second University of Naples on 22/10/2002 with a grade of 110/110 cum laude and dignity of the press, discussing an experimental thesis in Infectious Diseases entitled: "HIV/HCV co-infection . Influence of the Hepatitis C virus on AIDS therapy ". • He is enrolled in the register of surgeons of Salerno Order since 09/30/03 at no. 8972. • From 16/02/2006 to 31/03/2006, during the fourth year of the school of specialization in Infectious Diseases at the Second University of Naples, he carried out an internship at the St. Ursola Catholic Hospital, located in Matiri , Tharaka District, Kenya. • He obtained specialization in Infectious Diseases on 25/10/2006 with a score of 50/50 cum laude, discussing a thesis entitled:“HBV-HCV co-infection in HIV-positive patient.Clinical and virological aspects ". • He was Research Fellow, from January 2008 to June 2009, for collaboration in research activities on the topic: "The HBV / HCV packaging: virological and therapeutic aspects", at the Department of Public, Clinical and Preventive Medicine of the Second University of Naples. • PhD in Microbiological, Experimental and Clinical Sciences - XXIII cycle (SSD Med 07), on 21/12/10, at the Second University of Naples, with a thesis entitled: "HBV / HCV co-infection in patients with or without HIV infection: virological dynamics and clinical-therapeutic implications ". • In June 2012 achievement of the Diploma of the two-year Internist Ultrasound course at the ANEI school - SIUMB agreement, at the A.O. D. Cotugno, Naples. • Outpatient specialist for 38 hours per week at the Infectious Diseases Unit of the University of Campania, Luigi Vanvitelli from 15/11/2011. • In 2016, achievement of the title of "expert on the subject" at the Second University of Naples for the two-year period 2016-2018. • He attended 20 national and international training courses related to HIV infection and viral hepatitis. • He has participated as a speaker at more than 50 national conferences. • He worked as a co-investigator in 10 national and international multicentre studies relating to the enrollment and study of HIV + patients. • He is reviewer of international journals in the sector: Journal of Medical Virology, Plos one. • He oversaw the Scientific Secretariat and the organization of 3 conferences on HIV and hepatitis viruses organized from 2012 to 2017 in Naples and Caserta. • He has teached in many AIDS training courses for nursing staff, as well as seminars for university students and infectious disease specialists at the University of Campania, Luigi Vanvitelli. • From 2021 Luigi Vanvitelli Professor at the Biomedical Laboratory Techniques Degree Course at the University of Campania, Luigi Vanvitelli. • He is the author of 23 posters presented at various national and international conferences and sometimes accepted for oral comunication. • He is involved in several multicentre research projects, participating in various studies. • He is among the authors of 45 full-length papers in journals reviewed by pub-med.
