Saji Abraham

Saji Abraham (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, India, in 1987, the M.Sc. degree in space physics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, in 1991, the Ph.D. degree in space physics from the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 1997, and the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering with major in photonics from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, in 2008. He has been supporting NASA projects since 1997. He is currently with KBR, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, USA. He supported NASA space mission projects, Aquarius and Soil Moisture Active/Passive (SMAP), for sea surface salinity and soil moisture applications. He is currently supporting the calibration of the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) on the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS). He is also a Certified Associate in project management and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, Newtown Square, PA, USA. His research interests are developing forward and retrieval algorithms for spaceborne and airborne radiometric applications. Dr. Abraham is also a Senior Member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and a member of the American Geophysical Union.
