Safakath is an assistant professor and principal investigator at Tsinghua University's Shenzhen campus, directing his research toward understanding both ultrafast and slow transient phenomena in organic optoelectronic materials. Prior to his current role, he was a postdoctoral researcher at KAUST from 02/2016 to 12/ 2021 and as a research scientist from 01/2022 to 12/2022. He earned his Ph.D. from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in 2015, securing a prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship.
