Saeed Alhassan is the first recipient of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Medal of Scientific Excellence in 2017. He works on materials for different applications including: water harvesting, water remediation, energy storage, hydrogen production and catalysis. Elemental sulfur is one of the key focus of research in Saeed's group due to its importance to United Arab Emirates energy landscape.
