A Nigerian, born at Orba, Undenu L.G.A., Enugu State, Nigeria, married with Children, a Professor at the department of Biochemistry, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Area of specialization is enzymology. Attended the University of Nigeria and obtained the following degrees : Ph.D (1999-2004), MSc (1994-1998), BSc(Hons) (1986-1990). A member of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a research fellow of the Matsumae International Foundation of Japan, an International Foundation for Science research award grantee, national secretary of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2011-2015). He has attended many conferences and workshops with many scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Was associate Dean of faulty of Biological Sciences (2014-2016), and Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Nigeria Nsukka (2018-2020). Appointed external examiner for numerous universities, member of accreditation and resource verification panel of the national universities commission to different universities, served as external assessor of candidates for possible promotion/appointment to the rank of professor for many universities
