Shinji Yamashita

SHINJI YAMASHITA [M'01, SM'11] (shyama@jp.fujitsu.com) received B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1996 and 1998, respectively. In 1998, he joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and has been engaged in research and development of optical modules, ICs, MEMS devices, and energy-efficient networks. He is currently interested in research on software defined networks. From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. He is a member of the IEEE Communications Society and Photonics Society, and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering (IEICE) of Japan.
