My research interest is the study of the structure and function of microbial communities, mainly in hydrocarbon-contaminated Antarctic environments. I am also interested in prospection of psychrophilic and thermophilic bacteria from different biotopes of Antarctica and Argentinean Patagonia producing enzymes and exopolysaccharides of industrial relevance.
