Shrikrishna V. Kulkarni

S. V. Kulkarni (Fellow, IEEE) received Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2000. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He was with Crompton Greaves Limited, Mumbai, India, and specialized in the design and development of transformers up to 400-kV class. He has authored a book entitled Transformer Engineering: Design, Technology, and Diagnostics. He has adapted an undergraduate textbook on electromagnetics for Asia entitled Principles of Electromagnetics. His research interests include the analysis and diagnostics of transformers, computational electromagnetics, high-voltage engineering, and smart grids. Dr. Kulkarni was the recipient of the Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in 2000 and the Career Award for Young Teacher from the All India Council for Technical Education in 2001.
