Ashish Prakash Agalgaonkar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2006. He was a Scientist with Energy Technology Centre, NTPC Ltd., Greater Noida, India, from 2005 to 2007, and was associated with the University of Tasmania, Hobart, TAS, Australia, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the University of Wollongong, Wollongong, NSW, Australia. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow till 2010 before taking up a Lecturer position with the University of Wollongong in December 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor with the University of Wollongong. His research interests include planning and operational aspects of renewable and distributed generation, power system reliability, microgrids, electricity markets, and system stability.
