As a Senior Clinical Vascular Scientist for the University of Manchester, IVS Ltd and Manchester University NHS FT, Steven is one of only a handful of clinical academics focusing on vascular ultrasound research in the UK, where he manages a team of experienced vascular scientists. Steven individually performs over 2000 ultrasound exams each year and has become an expert in 2D and 3D vascular ultrasound, for which he has completed his PhD on Tomographic 3D Ultrasound, funded by a €2.1 million Horizon 2020 grant. Steven currently sits on both the Executive Council and Research Committee of the Society of Vascular Technology GB&I. Steven has previously been the Vascular Stream Chairman for the British Medical Ultrasound Society ASM, which he continues to support. Steven is a founding co-convenor and examiner for the Certificate of Ultrasound Competency at the European Society of Vascular Surgery and was awarded a Certificate of Merit at the Charing Cross Symposium in 2017, 2018 and 2019 for his research. Steven was appointed Ann Wilcox Scientist of the year in 2016 by the SVTGBI.
