Dr. Chun is a Radiation Oncologist practicing at the MD Anderson Proton Center and West Houston Campus. As Director of Radiation Oncology Clinical Research for the MD Anderson Houston Area Locations, Dr. Chun led the expansion of the radiation oncology clinical trial program across the MD Anderson integrated satellite network and is supported by extramural grant funding from the National Institutes of Health as Principal Investigator. In the MD Anderson Houston Area Locations, Dr. Chun implemented the stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) program for pancreatic cancer as well as the frameless stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) program for brain metastases. With NRG Oncology, Dr. Chun is active with the Lung Core Committee, Radiation Oncology Committee and Protocol Operations Management Oversight Committee, and launched the NRG Oncology podcast which is the first podcast ever established by an NCI cooperative group. Dr. Chun is also a member of the MD Anderson Institutional Review Board and is the Thoracic Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance lead for the MD Anderson Network. As an active clinical researcher, Dr. Chun has frequently published in journals such as the Lancet, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the Journal of Thoracic Oncology and JAMA Oncology.
