Sarah D'Alessandro

SD works at the Dept of Pharmacological & Biomolecular Sciences and collaborates with the Dept of Biomedical, Surgical & Dental Sciences, University of Milan. SD main research interest is in the Malaria field, pathogenesis of malaria and search for new antimalarial drugs, against both asexual and sexual stages of Plasmodium. In 2018 SD has got funding to study the immunologic response of bone marrow macrophages against malaria gametocytes. Recently SD has started working on viral infections, too
