Ryotaro Konoike

Ryotaro Konoike received the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electronic Science and Engineering, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He studied the integration of manipulation of photons on a photonic crystal chip containing multiple coupled nanocavities with Kyoto University. He is currently a Researcher with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include optical switches and integrated silicon optical circuits. Dr. Konoike was the recipient APL Photonics Future Luminary Award in 2020.
