Ryan Shea

Ryan Shea [s'08, M'16] is an assistant professor in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. He currently teaches advanced courses on big data systems design for the SFU Professional Master's program. His research interests include virtualization, and performance of big data and cloud computing. While studying as a Ph.D. candidate at Simon Fraser University, he received the prestigious NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate fellowship. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in IEEE and ACM journals, magazines, and conference proceedingss. Recent high profile publications include a point of view article in the Proceedings of the IEEE titled “The Future of Cloud Gaming.”
