Bio
Ryan C. Ogliore received his B.A. in physics and mathematics from Claremont McKenna College and his Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology. Currently he is an associate professor of physics at Washington University in St. Louis. His research interests are in the laboratory analyses of extraterrestrial materials using a variety of microanalytical techniques to better understand the origin and early evolution of the Solar System. He has studied the comet Wild 2 samples returned by the Stardust mission, solar wind ions returned by the Genesis mission, and asteroid samples returned by the two Hayabusa missions.
