Professor at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brazil. Areas of work: Irrigation, Drainage and Entrepreneurship. Other activities developed: 2002-2004 - Coordinator of the Agricultural and Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Program, Federal University of Vicosa. 2011-2013 - Head of the Agricultural Engineering Department. 2013-2017 - Director of the Agricultural Science Center. 2017- Present Director of the Agricultural Science Center. 2013- Chair of the Teaching Chamber and the Departmental Council of the Agricultural Science Center. 2013- Member of the University Council. 2019- Member of the Teaching, Research and Extension Council. 2015 - Awarded the Medal of the Commendation Antônio Secundino de São José, granted by the Government of the State of Minas Gerais. 2005- Developed technological product named Irrigâmetro, being the main inventor of this device with patent registration in the name of the Federal University of Viçosa. In 2015, Irrigâmetro technology received the Good Example of Innovation Award, granted by Rede Globo Minas, Newspaper O Tempo, Federation of Industries of Minas Gerais and Fundação Dom Cabral.
