Our country’s population is aging as its healthcare needs are increasing, aligning with the aging world population. Older adults (OAs) aged 60 years and over is growing faster than all younger age groups.1 Despite advances in research, aging remains the most significant factor for many chronic diseases and conditions.2 A major challenge in assessing the health of OAs is the sheer diversity of health and functional states they experience that are loosely associated with chronological age.1
