个人简介
Romuald B. Beck received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering, the D.Sc. degree in electronics–microelectronics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland, in 1977, 1982, and 1997, respectively.
He is currently a Professor with the Warsaw University of Technology, where he is also the Vice-Director for Scientific Affairs of the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies. His research interest is focused on issues related with silicon technology of both, semiconductor electronic and photonic devices as well as MEMS/MOEMS microsystems, especially—on fabrication of thin and ultrathin dielectric and conducting layers by different methods (including plasma techniques), their kinetics and modeling, application of plasma processes to ultrashallow implantation, as well as electrophysical properties of semiconductor devices, their yield and reliability.
Prof. Beck has received from the President of Republic of Poland Title of Professor in 2008. In the meantime, he has been carrying several posts in national and international institutions, organizations, and consortiums, e.g., Committee of Electronics and Telecommunication of Polish Academy of Sciences, IEEE Section Poland, the Deputy to European Nanoelectronics Initiative Advisory Council ENIAC, and the Member of the Governing Board of European consortium SINANO Institute. He has also been very active in organization of numerous symposiums and conferences on domestic and international level. To name just a few of them: Electron Technology Conference in 1996 and 2004 (as a member of the Organizing Committee), International Symposium on Diagnostics & Yield in 2003, 2006, and 2009 (as the President of Organizing Committee), and 49th European Solid State Devices Conference in 2019 (as a Technical Program Committee Vice-Chair).
