Rodrigo Brito is a senior researcher at HEI-Lab of Lusófona University, Lisbon. He has extensive intercultural experience and multilingual skills, having grown up in Portugal, Angola, and England, and spent a significant part of his adult life in various EU countries. He has an undergraduate background in sociology, but chose social psychology to better understand the psychological building blocks of human sociality. His most central research interests relate to the socio-cognitive and motivational processes involved in interpersonal, group, and intergroup relations, with a focus on the processes of production of strong social bonds (communalism, intimacy, sharing). He has also collaborated with neuropsyschologists working on ICT-based assessment and treatment of cognitive impairments, and with computer scientists on social bases for sharing network resources.
