Roberto Silvestri

I obtained my Ph.D. in molecular medicine at the University of Siena (Italy) in 2021, and I am currently a junior researcher at the University of Pisa. I have worked on pleural mesothelioma since my bachelor's degree internship, focusing on the characterization of mesothelin as a diagnostic biomarker and, more recently, a therapeutic target. I am currently evaluating a large panel of circulating biomarkers for their diagnostic properties in mesothelioma. I am also collaborating on developing and characterizing a small-protein scaffold for delivering cytotoxic molecules into mesothelioma cells.
