Roberto Perez Xavier

Roberto Perez Xavier is Professor of Economic Geology in the Geology and Natural Resources Department of the Institute of Geosciences, University of Campinas (IG/UNICAMP), southeast Brazil. Current research interests are focused on the characterization and evolution of hydrothermal fluids within the Earth´s crust with implications on the formation of ore deposits. His research activities have been mainly on orogenic gold, and intrusion-hosted gold – base metal deposits and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) systems in Precambrian cratons and related fold belts in Brazil.
