Roberto Michele Tumolo

Roberto M. Tumolo received the Laurea degree in telecommunications engineering from the Federico II of Naples, Naples, Italy, in 2007. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in phased array antennas with the ICT International Doctoral School, Trento University, Trento, Italy. After contributing to the PRIN research project “Wireless 802.16 Multi-Antenna Mesh Networks,” he was hired by Thales Alenia Space, Cannes, France, in 2008 for a period of nine months during which his experience was based on antenna nulling and test campaigns on satellites, such as thermal-vacuum and compact antenna test range. Since 2008, he has been with the Department of Central Projects, LEONARDO-FINMECCANICA, Rome, Italy. From 2009 to 2012, he covered the role of System Engineer of 3-D long-range radars, where he has gained experience in different ambits, such as possible countermeasures for the wind-farm clutter problem for the air traffic control radars, antenna placement on military platforms in highly electromagnetically interfering environments, bistatic RCS estimation, sparse arrays, and signal and power integrity since 2012.
