Robert Ross received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer science from the University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, in 2001 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in situated dialogue systems from the University of Bremen, Bremen, Germany, in 2009. He is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Computer Science, TU Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, where he is Director of the Applied Intelligence Research Centre and leads the Cognitive Systems Research group. He works in the area of applied machine learning through the Science Foundation Ireland funded Adapt Research Centre where he leads industry partner research in digitally enhanced engagement. His research interests inclde situated conversational systems.
