Robert Arias

Robert Arias is a Senior Research Scientist in the Neuroscience Department at Wyeth Research. His long tenure in drug discovery has spanned various scientific disciplines, including biochemistry and in vivo and in vitro physiology. In recent years he has focused on exploiting various aspects of hippocampal-slice physiology for screening investigational therapeutic compounds. His standing interest in software-based instrumentation control has led to the implementation of an automated multi-slice recording system, Synaptic Explorer. Arias received a B.A. in neuroscience in 1985 from Colgate University, New York, USA.
