Ripa Akter Sharmin currently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Botany, Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ripa does research in Plant molecular biology, Transcriptomics, GWAS, Bioinformatics, and Plant stress physiology. Her research aims are to identify and characterize novel candidate genes in response to abiotic stresses including flooding stress. She is also interested in understanding how plants respond to abiotic stresses and how they develop tolerance to them.
