Richard Sharp received the PhD degree in computer science from the Ohio State University in 2006. He is an assistant professor of computer science at St. Lawrence University, an undergraduate liberal arts institution in northern New York. His recent research projects include subsurface light scattering simulations, bioinformatic analysis of yeast DNA, and computational models of rain forest ecologies. He is a member of the IEEE.
