Rasha Gad

Dr. Gad El-Karim received her master degree in Immunoparasitology from Cairo University, and her doctorate in Immunology from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. She works as a researcher at Environmental Research and Medical Malacology Department at Theodor Bilhars Research Institute (TBRI). The focus of her research is to study the immune system of invertebrates and its influence on the host-parasite relationship especially in cases of both Fascioliasis and Schistosomiasis. She has good experience in application of the research output under simulated field conditions. Her recent researches are targeted to decrease the susceptibility of molluscan intermediate host to transmit diseases through immunostimulation.
