Ramón González-Drigo

Ramon Gonzalez-Drigo was born in Bern, Switzerland, in 1965. He received the B.S. degree in physics from the University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1989, and the M.S. degree in industrial-mechanical engineering specialized in structural analysis and Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Since 2003, he has been a Full-Time Professor and Researcher for training and research in earthquake engineering and structural analysis with the Department of Strength of Materials and Structural Engineering, UPC. He is the author of several scientific papers related to seismic response evaluation of existing buildings, seismic risk analysis, seismic vulnerability of historical buildings, and GPR applications in civil engineering, surface geology, and archaeology. He develops tasks as Reviewer in some international journals. His research interests include the numerical modeling and the vulnerability assessment of masonry buildings and reinforced concrete structures, incorporating a probabilistic approach, and GPR applications. Dr. Gonzalez-Drigo is a Member of the Editorial Board of Técnica Industrial.
