个人简介
I am a researcher with in-depth knowledge and research interest in Materials Chemistry and Catalysis. Materials Science, solid-state chemistry, catalysis, spectroscopy, advanced TEM techniques (typically aberration-corrected atomic-resolution STEM/TEM, in situ imaging, EELS, etc. at NCEM-Berkeley Lab) and electrochemistry are my research expertise. I conceive and elaborate original materials synthesis methodologies and experimental methods to achieve the desired phases with required functional attributes. The objectives of these research efforts are to achieve new materials with enhanced performances, lower CO2 footprint, energy consumption and production costs.
For example, about 30% of world GDP and 90% of all chemical processes are dependent on catalysis. Even a slight efficiency gain with more efficient catalysts and hierarchical porous solids can significantly improve the CO2 footprint, energy consumption and production costs. However, at the core of this are fundamental materials chemistry, spectroscopy and structural characterization techniques. With expertise in these domains of research, I pursue my research in the lab to contribute to these objectives.
When not at work I enjoy workout, meditation and music. I also enjoy reading about the impact of Science and Technological Advancement on the economy and the rise of nations/civilizations. I enjoy reading articles on the economy as my hobby.
