Raiyan T. Zaman received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and the Master’s degree on in vivo detection of gold nanoparticles in tumors using diffuse optical spectroscopy, both from the University of Texas, Austin, in 2000 and 2006, respectively, where she is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering track at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Her current research interests include laser tissue interaction and enhancement of light in tissue using hyper-osmotic agents. She was a Senior Applications Engineer in the Computer Platform Division at Motorola from 2000 to 2005.
