My lab is working on the development of the CRISPR/Cas9 gene therapy, and nanotechnology-based drug delivery approaches for personalized nanomedicine applicable to neuroAIDS and drug abuse treatment. We are also working on the development of bioengineering platform technologies, i.e., cerebral organoids-on-a-microfluidic chip system, to study the early-stage brain development (drug abuse, alcohol exposure or HIV transmission) and CNS anti-HIV-drug toxicity testing.
