Working fields include hygiene practices in animal husbandry, meat processing hygiene as well as microbiology. Part of his work is devoted to the study of the principles of biofilm formation at different levels of the animal production chain. One of his major interests is the understanding of the interactions involved in the global epidemiology of zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance in micro- and macroenvironments related to animal production practices.
