Turner, R.

Russell Turner is a Senior Computer Scientist in the Space Department Science Applications Group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. His research interests include visualization, simulation, object-oriented software design, and interactive 2D and 3D graphics. Before joining APL, he worked at Celera Genomics, where he was technical lead for development of the Celera Genome Browser, a tool used to visualize and annotate the human genome. He has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Ph.D. in Computer Animation from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne.
