个人简介
Raimund Rolfes received the graduate degree in civil engineering and
the Ph.D. degree in computational mechanics from Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH), Hannover, Germany, in 1986
and 1988, respectively, and the Habilitation (second Ph.D.) from the Technical University of Dresden, Dresden,
Germany, in 1998.
He has worked for 16 years with the German Aerospace Center in the field of fiber composite structures, where he ran
a department for computational analysis and experimental validation. Since 2005, he has been the Head of the Institute
for Structural Analysis, LUH. Since 2010, he has been also the Head of the Hannover Branch, Fraunhofer Institute for
Wind Energy and Energy System Technology, Hannover, Germany, and since 2009, he has been a Member of the board of For
Wind, the Center for Wind Energy Research of three German universities. Together with 40 coworkers, he is working on
modeling and simulation of inhomogeneous and anisotropic materials and structures, computational dynamics, and
structural health monitoring.
Dr. Rolfes was a recipient of the Best Paper Award of the International Journal on Structural Stability and
Dynamics in 2010, the Eric Reissner Medal in 2012, and the North German Science Award in 2014.
