R. Rajesh Kumar (Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree in electronics communication engineering from the Arunai Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2011, the M.Tech. degree in nanoscience and technology from the Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Anna University, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in nanoscience and technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), Kharagpur, India, in 2021.
After finishing his M.Tech. degree, he worked as a Project Assistant at the Department of Physics, IISC, Bengaluru, India, for one year. He currently works as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Department of Materials Science, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. He has developed room temperature multiferroic materials and characterizing the materials using PFM during his Ph.D. degree.
Dr. Kumar was awarded the Best Outgoing Student from the Nanoscience and Technology Department for his academic and extracurricular activities, the “East Meets West” Travel Grant from the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, in 2018, and the “IEEE Student Travel Award” from the IEEE Magnetic Society for attending magnetic society summer school and Visiting NIST Facility, USA.
