He serves and served several advisory boards of among others the Dutch Health Council, the Dutch Health Care Insurance Board (CVZ) and the Netherlands Organisation for Health Reserach and Development (ZonMW). His major field of interest in is public health, in particular value demonstration of drugs as use in daily life (Pharmaceutical Technology Assessment) and market access of new drugs to bring science into current practice.He is author of over 300 peer reviewed publications, fellow of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, has more than 15 year experience in teaching basic and advanced courses in pharmaceopidemiology and supervised more than 500 scientific research projects.
