Chawn Harlow

Chawn manages the R&D program and associated staff that aim to improve the assimilation of microwave and infrared satellite radiances into the Met Office operational Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) modelling system. Chawn has extensive experience with leading field campaigns focused on Cal/Val of the hyperspectral IR sounder IASI as well as campaigns focused on the remote sensing of surface and cloud properties using airborne microwave radiometers and hyperspectral IR sounders.
