个人简介
Dr. Raman Sah is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Houston, specializing in Vision Science. He recently completed his Ph.D. from Indiana University, USA under the guidance of Professors Dr. Pete Kollbaum and Dr. Arthur Bradley. His doctoral research focused on studying the effects of various myopia control strategies on the structural, optical, and neural development in children and young adults. Dr. Sah also investigated the impact of ocular biometrics and aberrations resulting from these treatments, with the goal of understanding their potential role in managing myopia. His research significantly contributes to our understanding of the complexities of myopia progression and provides valuable insights for the improvement of care methods in this area.
Dr. Sah began his professional journey as an optometrist, graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry degree from the esteemed Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2011. Following his graduation, he served as a Clinical Optometrist at the same institute, where he conducted comprehensive eye examinations, administered various optometric procedures, and actively participated in clinical investigations. Additionally, he provided guidance and mentorship to undergraduate optometry students. He also actively led several research projects focusing on pediatric ophthalmology, optical coherence tomography, and electrophysiology. His research interests expanded to encompass pediatric optometry, myopia development, amblyopia, electrophysiology of vision, and visual perception. Driven by his passion for research, Dr. Sah was accepted into the Ph.D. program in Vision Science at Indiana University in 2016. This opportunity allowed him to deepen his knowledge and expertise in the field while furthering his research pursuits.
