个人简介
My research aims to understand how the brain processes sensory information and generates behaviour, and how this process is modulated by exposure to environmental conditions (light, stress etc.), experience and learning. To address this, I use ethologically relevant species (salmon and spiny dogfish) and genetic model zebrafish, and employ a combination of molecular genetics, transgenesis, histology, microscopy, animal behavior studies, data visualization and analysis methods. In addition, by exploiting our understanding of brain function and animal physiology, my research also aims to develop methods/tools towards sustainable environment (conservation, aquaculture).
