Philipp M. Fischer

Philipp M. Fischer is scientist and software engineer at DLR’s Simulation and Software Technology Lab, where he is in charge of the"Modelling and Simulation" group. His research interests are in modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) and data modelling, or, more specifically, applying MBSE to the complete lifecycle of space systems. As part of this activity, he supported several Phase A studies at DLR’s Concurrent Engineering Facility. Currently he is involved in the digital transformation from MBSE towards digital twins. Philipp M. Fischer received his diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Leibniz University Hannover in Germany in 2007. During his studies he spent one year abroad focusing on computer science at the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne/Australia. During employments at Toyota Motorsports and Airbus Defense and Space and others, Philipp M. Fischer contributed his experience in software engineering and MBSE to various projects and R&D activities. He acted as session chair and co-chair in several workshops and conferences related to these R&D topics.
