As National Clinical Co-Lead for Rheumatology, Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT, NHS England), I use wide-ranging national healthcare data to reduce variation and improve outcomes across services in England. I am Rare Diseases Clinical Lead, National Disease Registration Service (NHS England) which supports clinicians, patients, service delivery, commissioning, and public health. My research focuses on improving health outcomes for rare diseases and translating this evidence into NHS policy.
