Pedro M. Ferreira

Pedro M. Ferreira was born in Santarém, Portugal, in 1970. He received the five-year First Degree in systems engineering and computing and the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering and computing from the University of Algarve, Faro, Portugal, in 1996 and 2008, respectively. In 1995 and 1996, he was a Student Assistant with the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Algarve. Between 1997 and 2006, he was a Teaching Assistant with the School of Technology and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Algarve. He is currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow with Unilever Research and Development Port Sunlight, Wirral, U.K. His main research interests are artificial neural networks, environmental control, and computational intelligence methods.
